# FHIR App Portal

The FHIR App Portal covers the full lifecycle of the third-party SMART on FHIR apps that consume the Patient Access API under [CMS-9115-F](../compliance/cms-9115.md) and [CMS-0057-F](../compliance/cms-0057.md): developers register and test their apps, payer administrators review and govern them, and plan members find apps and control their access to data.
